The Snow Space will also serve as a platform for a collaboration between Polestar and the Arctic Design Week in the city, which aims to encourage sustainable and responsible design. In total, 3,000 cubic meters of snow was used from the Ounasvaara ski resort nearby to construct the striking snow space; the snow was transported via electric trucks.
The walls are over 6.5 feet thick, and inside, visitors will find the Polestar 2 on display, along with ice sculptures of wheels, suspension components, and brakes that were all created by local artists. A dome-shaped roof was used inside to make the construction as robust as possible. Like more traditional Polestar Spaces, you can’t buy a car from the Snow Space, but it’s a unique way to get closer to the brand.
